Slægten Hermann: Familienavnet var indtil begyndelsen af 1800-tallet Armand – herefter blev navnet fordansket/tysket til Hermann. I Fredericia kender vi til 2 slægter Hermann: 1) Jacob Armand, f. i La Motte Chalencon i begyndelsen af 1600-tallet og 2) Andrès Armand fra Mons. I Fredericia er de to slægter indgiftet i hinanden. Muligheden for at Andrès Armand fra Mons og slægten fra La Motte Chalencon er yderligere beslægtet er til stede.

The Hermann Family: The family name was Armand until the beginning of the 19th Century - it was then changed to Hermann (german/danish version of the name). In Fredericia we know about two different lines: 1) Jacob Armand, b. in La Motte Chalencon in the beginning of the 17th Century and 2) Andrès Armand from Mons. In Fredericia there has been some "intermarriages" between the two families. It's quite possible that Andrès Armand from Mons og the family from La Motte Chalencon was related to one another from the very beginning (before they left France in the 17th Century).
